Raymond Boekelder (Groenlo, 1962) studeerde van 1985 tot 1990 aan de kunstacademie AKI, Enschede
en van 1990 tot 1992 aan de Rijksacademie te Amsterdam.

The exhibitions of his work at Art Singel 100 from 2018 and 2022 show a development from tangible bodies to a new human being, whose movement he summarizes in diagrams of neuralgic wires. In his recent work, he shows a similar modern human being, evoking poetic and dramatic feelings through the theme and a greater freedom in his use of paint. A longing for the other is also expressed in every pose or gesture.
