Early years
After Francis

For a number years I have studied the work of Francis Bacon (1909 - 1992). I admired the  'plastic' distortions in his portraits and figure studies and the architectural settings for the actors in the large tryptichs. Influence can be seen in much of my oeuvre, but however close I get in my work there are obvious differences, and inevitably Francis Bacon  served only as a route in finding my own way of expression.
